improving the lives of children through the art of storytelling
Meet Julie
Julie was born in Ft. Hood, Texas. She spent most of her life traveling around the world, as her father was in the US ARMY. When she married her husband Jon, they settled in Montgomery, TX, raising their two children. After their daughter graduated from high school in 2018, they relocated to the Dallas area, settling in Ovilla.
In 2012 Julie was diagnosed with Nevoid Malignant Melanoma. She was a patient at MD Anderson Cancer Center and continues to thrive since finding NED in 2014. She has been heavily involved in philanthropy for most of her life, specifically in the realm of pediatric cancer, Melanoma, and Autism. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Melanoma Action Coalition, is the walk coordinator for the Aim at Melanoma Dallas 5k, and is a fierce advocate.
Her family is her greatest achievement. You can find Julie and Jon on any given weekend doing something active outdoors with their children, Autumne and Aiden. She enjoys live music, cooking, traveling, reading and writing. She is currently working on her first book.
