This teacher guidebook is geared toward grades K-2. It includes lessons, graphic organizers, activities and more to teach a unit on "Being Kind". It can be easily modified for any age group. The unit is based on the children's book "Kalliegator and the Magic of Kindness" by Hayley Dickens.

Kalliegator is an alligator who lives in the swamps of Louisiana. She is kind to everyone she meets. She is based on a real little girl named Kallie who practiced the magic of kindness too. Kallie was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of three and earned her angel wings 11 months later. Her mom Hayley Dickens authored the book. Her sister Kora added some adorable pieces of art and Estella Patrick illustrated the book and beautifully captured the heart and soul of Kallie.
