How it Works
Inspired by Grace Fulcher and the children's book her mom, Frances Fulcher, wrote in her memory, "Amazing Grace & The Wishing Tree," The Wishing Tree Project was created. We invite you to create a Wishing Tree of your own in your home, neighborhood, church, school, hospital or community.
Place a basket or box of colorful ribbons by your tree. Leave markers and instructions and encourage visitors to the tree to write their prayer, hope or wish on a ribbon and tie it to the tree. On the card, leave a link or QR code so that visitors can do more than simply write their prayer. They can also donate to the fight against childhood cancer.

About Grace
Grace Bernice Fulcher began playing the violin at just eight years old, discovering a gift that would become her voice, her comfort, and her way of bringing light to others. In 2015, her life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer, anaplastic astrocytoma. Still in high school, Grace faced every treatment and every challenge with extraordinary courage and a faith that never wavered.
Despite the daily hardships of radiation and chemotherapy, Grace graduated in 2017 summa cum laude with a 4.4 GPA. She poured her heart into school and service, participating in Key Club, Leadership Club, Daughters of the King, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Through it all, she continued to share her musical talent with her violin performances, offering peace, beauty, and hope to everyone who heard them.
Grace’s family now honors her legacy by sharing her story and raising awareness of pediatric cancer. Grace is remembered smiling, hopeful that this book will bring comfort and spark joy in the hearts of children walking their own cancer journeys. Her greatest wish was that her story would lift others up and put a smile on the faces of those who need it most.
